Client ISG Retail & N Family Club
N Family Club Hackney Downs is part of the expanding N Family Club nursery portfolio – delivered by ISG Retail, it is housed in a locally listed Georgian building on Rectory Road in Hackney.
The nursery has been sensitively restored, accommodating both its internal and external listings. The project focussed on retaining and repairing existing features, and converting, updating, and upgrading the building to be fit for its new nursery use. MAA worked closely with the team at ISG Retail to deliver the spaces to N Family Club’s brand aesthetic, as well as to the practical and functional requirements of a busy nursery.
The design featured nine playrooms for children from baby age to pre-schoolers, with kitchenettes and children’s bathrooms introduced into these rooms with respect to the existing building. Other features are a Parents Room complete with coffee station, and an Art Room.
